Mamie comes from an extended family in the eastern region of Sierra Leone. She attends school and likes going to school but lacks basic educational materials for learning. She enjoys playing with toys and balance ball with her peers. She lives with her family in a small rural village where all the people are farmers. Her father is a seasonal farmer and gets low harvest as a result of use of local tools for farming. Her mother is also a petty trader. Both parents are hardworking but their annual income level is always low, estimated at 200 United States dollars. Feeding and clothing is a challenge and therefore her parents are seeking for outside support to educate the child for a brighter future.

Ending child poverty begins with Mamie. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
