Zasha- is a bold girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She stays with both parents together with her brother and sister. They live in a palm thatched house with sticks in a communal land. They fetch water from a community borehole whose water is not clean thus predisposing the child to water borne diseases. Her mother is the breadwinner of the family who depends on Mat weaving activities. The family also does basketry and broom making as a livelihood supplementation project. However, the annual income generated from this activity is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to sustain the recurring basic needs. Her mother approached the office to seek assistance. Zasha is not is school since she has not attained school going age. She only plays with shakers. Her mother would like her to become a teacher when she grows up and also help the less fortunate in the society. She has not been assigned any chores at home since she is still young. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life.
