Thenupa Hansana, a little boy from Monaragala District, Sri Lanka, lives in a peaceful, rural, green, and quiet area. He shares a home with his parents and two brothers. Their house, built with brick walls and a cement floor, remains incomplete, with an asbestos sheet roof. Though modest, the family makes it a home filled with love and care. Thenupa helps his mother with daily chores like gathering firewood and fetching water from a common well. His favorite hobby is playing with his friends, finding joy in simple games despite the hardships around him. He attends primary school, located 2.5 km away, walking there daily with his mother. His father works as a seasonal farmer, earning just $520 annually. This limited income barely covers basic needs like food, healthcare, and education. Providing three meals a day and healthy food for the children is a constant struggle, leaving little for educational expenses. They have electricity and a toilet facility but desperately need a sponsor to improve their situation and ensure a better future for Thenupa and his family.
