Baby Thineth has a captivating smile. His sister and parents simply adore him. He is a cheerfull and joyful little baby. Thineth lives with his family in their partially constructed house situated in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. The walls of the house are constructed of brick, the floor with cement and the roof is strewn with asbestos sheets – the house is not complete but it is home. Thineth’s father is a farmer and he is also the sole breadwinner of the family. His annual income is about USD360 and is barely enough to cover the expenses of the family let alone complete the construction of the house. The struggle is very real and hard and it seems unfair that baby Thineth as little as he is, is also affected by poverty. The economic crisis prevalent in the country only makes it that much more complicated. However, this issue can be addressed by a simple, thoughtful intervention by a generous and kind-hearted person. No contribution will be too small. Little Thineth and his precious sister will stand to benefit the most.
