Nadun is a handsome little boy who attends primary school just 1km from his home, where Math is his favorite subject. He has a passion for cricket, spending his free time playing with friends, his laughter echoing through the fields. Nadun lives with his two sisters in a small, half-built house in a destitute community in the Monaragala district of Uva Province, Sri Lanka. Their home, constructed with brick walls, a cement floor, and a roof of clay tiles, provides basic shelter but leaves much to be desired. While they have access to electricity and sanitary facilities, the family’s struggle is ongoing. Water comes from their tap line, but daily life is a challenge. Nadun’s mother is his primary caretaker, while his father works as a farmer, yet their annual income remains very low, barely covering their needs. Through sponsorship, Nadun has the opportunity to embark on a long-term journey toward a brighter, more promising future.
