Hassanatou is living with her parents in the remote village of Sorisakya situated in Kindia area where they dwell in a 3 rooms mud house. The family do not have access to electricity and clean water. At home, they use hurricane lamps to light in the house at night. Like the other inhabitants of the village, they are traditional farmers. With the $380 that the father raises as annual revenue from his farming activities, not much can be done to meet the basic needs of the family. Hassanatou get lucky to be enroled to the the village school and enjoys in couting and drawing. At home, she sleeps on a mat with his mom. Often she likes playing with doll with her friends in front of their house. A caring sponsor will surely enable the child to learn to read and write in the future.
