Sophia commonly known as Sophie is such a humble and friendly young girl. She stays with her parents and siblings in a remote village found in Eastern Uganda. She likes playing dodgeball with her age mates after school and does light house chores while at home. She is good at drawing pictures and counting numbers. Her family thrives on subsistence farming for food and income only when there is a surplus during bumper harvests, which rarely happens. However, due to poor planting materials, unreliable rainfall, and poor farming practices, the yields are always inadequate to cater for the needs of the family. Their average monthly income is always US 23 dollars which is not enough for the family to access medical services, beddings, clothes, and scholastic materials for Sophia and her sibling and this hinders their education progress.
