Rafik parents are seasonal farmer who grow their own food and sometimes sell when the harvest is good. His father is also a carpenter. Their annual income is not enough to take care of the family basic needs. His mother engaged in petty trading. She buys and sells local produce during the community market days to increase their income. Rafik lives with his parents and siblings in a small village in the northern part of the country. He is a quiet and obedient boy who gets on well with his peers. He likes to play football. He is in school. He enjoys practicing to read the English alphabet and count numbers. He is in good health.
