Roseline is a calm young girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her parents only. They live on communal land in a grass thatched house. They get their water from a nearby river which predisposes them to waterborne diseases. The father is the breadwinner who depends on selling charcoal while the mother makes and sells charcoal too. The family’s annual income is less than $ 360 which hardly meets their basic needs. This challenge has forced the family to struggle to get food, medical care, school supplies, home supplies, and other necessities. Roseline goes to a nearby school in their village, she does well in reading. Roseline likes singing with her friends in her free time. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from the Childfund project to enable Roseline to achieve her dreams. According to her parents, Roseline would like to be a lawyer in the future. Your support will bring a lasting change to Roseline’s life.
