Edwin lives with his parents in Tigwilizane community in Luangwa district located about 270 KM south east of the Zambian capital Lusaka. He comes from the family of four children and has three brothers. Edwins parents are peasant farmers who always spend much of their time working in the fields where they grow maize, beans groundnuts and cow peas in order to earn a living. Sometimes they are involved in doing some odd jobs in order to raise some income to meet some of their basic needs especially that drought has been affecting their crops negatively leading to crop failure. The familys income is approximately $350. despite their hardship, Edwins parents are determined to ensure that he is educated and have a better life in future. Edwin is currently in primary school is a health child who always likes playing ball games with friends.
