Jerida is the youngest child in their family. Jerida lives with her parents and sibling. They live in their village home in the Eastern part of Uganda. Jerida likes playing doll games. Her parents are small scale farmers that grow crops for both consumption and some little is spared for sale to earn an income of about 3 US dollars each time they sell some food stuffs. The family struggles to make ends meet because the money earned is not enough to provide for all their needs like medication, dressing and educating his sibling. They always settle down for less because they no longer have bargaining power, the people who buy their produce are also low income earners and going to sell in urban centers attracts trading license and transport costs. The situation in the family of Jerida will affect normal growth and development. Taking on Jerida for sponsorship will greatly improve their living standards through some of our program interventions.
